After a brief aside, you will be led into the Hall of the Colossus, where masterpieces like Giambologna’s "Rape of the Sabines", Cassone Adimari, and Domenico Ghirlandaio’s gloomy "St. Stephen between St. James and St. Peter" are housed. The tour moves deeper into the main Hall of the Prisoners, where you learn about the unfinished statues from Michelangelo's “Slaves”. After spilling all the secrets about Michelangelo’s "David", your guide will take you to Palazzo Medici Riccardi, which belonged to the first branch of the principal Medici residence. From here on out to the square stands what used to be Florence’s cathedral until the 8th century: Church of San Lorenzo.
