Florence in One Day: David, City Walk and Uffizi Gallery

Take a memorable trip through Florence via our guided tour of the city's most famous neighborhoods without having to wait in line. This Florence walking tour lets you visit two world-class museums with an experienced local guide who will point out all the famous works while you explore the beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Centre of Florence and its most interesting neighborhoods.

Michelangelo and the Accademia Gallery

Your tour first visits the Accademia Gallery, where priority access allows you to view Michelangelo's David — an icon of Florence and a representation of artistic perfection. You'll learn all about the fascinating history of this sculpture and how it was created, and discover other invaluable works from the Renaissance period.

In addition to viewing David, you will see five other magnificent works by Michelangelo in the Accademia Gallery: The Four Prisoners (or Captives) and Saint Matthew.

Stradivarius Violins, Music and Renaissance Art

The Medici Collection will bring you face to face with some of the rarest Stradivarius violins in the world, the oldest piano known to man, and unique instruments on display. In addition, the Bartolini Plaster Cast Gallery will be included in our tour; you will have the opportunity to view a variety of beautiful plaster models, a collection of stunning altarpieces made from gold leaf, and paintings created during the Renaissance period (15th and 16th century).

Piazza del Duomo: Secrets and Beauty

Following this amazing experience, we will walk through Piazza del Duomo to discover more about Brunelleschi's Dome and take pleasure in the golden details of the Baptistery's Gates of Paradise. The view of Giotto's Campanile and Santa Maria del Fiore — not to mention the incredibly beautiful marbled facade — will definitely leave you wanting more.

Piazza della Signoria and the Uffizi Gallery: The Heart of Florence

Crossing Piazza della Repubblica, we will reach Piazza della Signoria, home to the spectacular Palazzo Vecchio, former seat of the Florentine government and later the 16th-century residence of the Medici. After viewing the beautiful sculptures at the Loggia dei Lanzi, we continue to the Uffizi Gallery, one of the finest art museums in the world.

Masterpieces of the Uffizi Gallery: From Giotto to Caravaggio

Your guide will take you on a two-hour tour of the Uffizi Gallery, where you will view some of the finest masterpieces of the Renaissance painted by artists such as Giotto, Botticelli, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Titian, Caravaggio, and many other Renaissance masters. The Uffizi Gallery remains open until normal closing hours, allowing you to take full advantage of everything this UNESCO World Heritage Site has to offer in Florentine art, history and culture.
