Full description

Florence, the capital city of Tuscany and the birthplace of the Renaissance, is just a quick high-speed train ride from Rome. You can experience this great city in under two hours. We will pick you up at your hotel and drive you to the Rome Termini railway station, where our travel assistant will help check you in before boarding the train with you. When you arrive in Florence, a local guide will meet you in Piazza del Duomo for an escorted walking tour through Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore, Ponte Vecchio, and Piazza Signoria. Then have entrance into the famous Galleria degli Uffizi, where you will see masterpieces by Botticelli, Michelangelo, Raphael, and more while our local guide discloses secrets about these priceless works of art. After the tour, you will have plenty of free time in the city to do some exploring on your own and have lunch or a light snack (not included in the price) at one of the nice restaurants or bars. Finally, we will meet up at an appointed time and head back over to the train station for a return trip to Rome in the late afternoon. Come with us and do not miss this chance to be surrounded by the rich history and art of Florence.
