Florence: Full-Day Excursion from Rome

Florence is a city full of great wealth that has had a great impact on Italy's culture and history through the many art pieces it has created.

The Medici family is responsible for harnessing the talents of many of the greatest artists from the Italian Renaissance to create a city that was, and is, one of the great cultural capitals of the world.

We will start the tour at the Michelangelo Square where you will have panoramic views upon arriving that will give you an indication of what you’ll see throughout your trip to Florence.

Next we will drive to Santa Croce Church, which is home to some of Italy's most famous artists like Michelangelo, Galileo, and many others in both the fields of art and science.

Our exploration through Florence will begin by driving from place to place visiting a few key sites that are incredibly well-known; for example the Duomo and the Giotto Bell Tower, Signoria Square and Palace, the Old Bridge and Pitti Palace.

After that, you will have the choice of either visiting the Accademia Gallery or Uffizi Gallery depending on what you choose beforehand; if you let us know ahead of time, we can purchase tickets in advance so you can gain admission to the gallery you choose when you arrive.

The Accademia Gallery contains many famous pieces of artwork including Michelangelo's famous statue of 'David'.

If art and architecture are your specialization and focus of interest, we will personalize an excursion to include many beautiful works of art and architecture by Michelangelo, Raphael, Bernini, and Caravaggio in several churches.

Also, we will offer an optional, private, licensed guide for additional costs to get more use from an art or architecture tour.
