Uffizi Gallery Small-Group Tour: Art Beyond the Surface

The majority of visitors traverse the Uffizi Gallery and depart with photographs.

This experience is intended for individuals seeking comprehension.

Power, Belief and Beauty: The Language of Renaissance Masters

In your small group of no more than nine people, your expert guide helps introduce you to Renaissance art in an interpretive manner.

Through exploring the themes of power, belief, and beauty expressed through the use of symbolism, composition and emotion, you will not be rushing around the galleries, but rather, you will have more time to closely examine each of the works of art that capture the heart of Florence.

During the trip, you will have the chance to visit many of the great pieces at the Uffizi that were created by artists such as Botticelli, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Caravaggio.

You will have an assigned time as well as a slow-moving pace for personal in-depth study and participation in this art.

Choose Your Experience: Uffizi Tour or Vasari Corridor

Select your experience: Uffizi Gallery Tour (2 hours) — the guided tour concludes within the Uffizi.

You are welcome to further explore independently, gaining a fresh perspective.

You will leave the museum after touring the gallery and will then continue along the Vasari Corridor (an elevated passageway built by the Medici to enable them to move through the city without being observed).

Your visit will end outdoors, just outside of the Grotta del Buontalenti; you will not return to the museum again.

This process is for those who choose to focus more on understanding than merely knowing.

You are retained in the visual as an image and as part of the understanding or meaning behind it, not as a piece of info only.
