Full description

Take a trip to the times of Michelangelo Buonarotti while walking around the museum under the guidance of an escort. Look at the works of Florentine masters from the 13th century up to the height of the Renaissance. Contemplate David by Michelangelo. Hear about the unfortunate destiny of David's creation and why this statue is believed to be one of the peaks not only of Italian Renaissance art but also of all art ever created by mankind. While walking along the corridors of the museum, we will tell you the history of Michelangelo's "Prisoners"— the unfinished sculptures which were intended for the decoration of Julius 2's tomb. Besides, you will see masterpieces by Botticelli, Ghirlandaio, Giambologna. Let's also visit a unique Museum of Musical Instruments, which houses, among other exhibits, the world-famous Stradivarius violins and the world's first piano.
